(Selected from translated works authored by Robert Zhang & Steve Li)

Article 11 Where a plaintiff files a motion to withdraw his case for annulment of a marriage after the case has been admitted by a people's court, the people's court shall not grant approval.
The validity of a marriage shall not be subject to mediation, and a decree thereon shall be made according to law.
Provided, however, that disputes over property division and child raising may be subject to mediation. After mediation, a consent decree thereon shall be made separately if an agreement is reached, and a judgment thereon shall be included in the decree if no agreement is reached.
