Interpretations of "Title Five Marriage and Family" of the Civil Code (Article 9)

Article 9 After a man and a woman have registered their marriage, the man, the woman, or their interested parties may file a lawsuit with the people's court to claim invalidation of such marriage in accordance with the provisions of Article 1051 of the Civil Code. Such interested parties may be:
(1) A close relative or local competent organization of either spouse if the claim is based on the ground of bigamy of the other spouse;
(2) A close relative of the underage spouse if the claim is based on the ground that such spouse was under the legal age for marriage when they entered into marriage; and
(3) A close relative of either spouse if the claim is based on the ground that the spouses are forbidden from marrying each other due to kinship.
